John Boadu – General Secretary of the Party
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appealed to Ghanaians not to make the greatest slip-up again of entrusting the nation’s assets and its future under the control of previous president John Dramani Mahama and his NDC.
The NPP said the past Mahama organization for all intents and purposes grounded the economy by taking oil-rich Ghana from a development way of 14% to 3.4%.
Talking at a question and answer session in Accra on Sunday, 7 April 2019, the General Secretary of the party, John Boadu said Mahama has just the same old thing new to offer Ghanaians other than the inadequacy and debasement Ghanaians saw under his residency.
‘State no to a renominated hopeful (Mahama) for he never shows signs of change. Mahama – the esteem is the equivalent. All the more significantly, the NDC elective under Mahama is as yet startling.’
As indicated by Mr. Boadu, the record of Ghana’s Fourth Republic in the regions of development and economy is evident that the NPP assembles and creates while the NDC has an affinity to devastate and disintegrate the additions made.
‘NDC took us to HIPC yet did not have the valor to let it out despite the fact that it was under an IMF program in 2000. It took President Kufuor to have the heft of Ghana’s obligation discounted and get Ghana out of the IMF program. Not just that, NPP, through the engaging activities of GNPC, made Ghana an oil-rich country however left office before a solitary barrel of Celebration oil could be delivered. Likewise, the NPP under President Kufuor left office with Ghana’s first FICO assessment taking us to B. Before that we were not by any means appraised. FICO assessment is fundamental for both government and business to execute business and obtain globally.’
