Microsoft seems to be prepared to refresh its most inexpensive Surface Book 2 laptop in the next few weeks. The laptop’s CPU seems to be having the biggest changes, which seems to receive a very big push from a dual-core i5-7300U to a quad core i5-8350U.
On top of adding a couple of further cores, the i5-8350U also modestly increases the maximum boost clock speed of processor up from 3.5GHz to 3.6GHz. In general, that as supposed to come out as a 50 percent rise in multi-core computing power.
The reports say that retailers begun to list the latest 13-inch refresh with a price tag of $1499 (€1569). This price is same as that of the recommended pricing on the existing 256GB configuration, while at this moment, it has a discount of $1,299 on Microsoft’s store. Rest of the specs of the latest laptop seem to be the same: a 3000 x 2000 resolution screen, 8GB of RAM, an SD card reader, a couple of USB 3.1 Type-A ports and a single Type-C port. Still Microsoft boasts of a maximum battery life of 17 hours.
As the listings say, the latest model is scheduled to come out in the next few weeks.
