Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has raised concerns about the increasing trend of recruitment rip-off by some individuals using the name of the company to deceive people.
COCOBOD has exposed more than hundred cases of recruitment tricks in which individuals have been defrauded of up to GHC 5,000 Cedis with the promise of securing a job at COCOBOD.
COCOBOD said, the troubling trend which is bringing the companies name into disrepute has been going on from as far back as October 2018.
The fraudsters use names of prominent persons at COCOBOD including top executives as well as names of famous individuals in society to lure unsuspecting Ghanaians into parting away with thousands of Ghana cedis.
Francis Opoku, the Director of Human Resource at COCOBOD, while pointing out the severity of the situation cautioned unemployed Ghanaians against such fraudsters.
