Highlife artiste, Kwaisey Pee has said a considerable lot of the new artists are egotistical.
In a recent interview, Kwaisey Pee said that these youthful artistes feel huge and think they know everything.
He clarified it is likewise hard to inspire a portion of the new artists to include in a song.
Kwaisey said, ” They give lots of excuses and always talk about being busy. I have some songs I want to feature some of them on so I have to wait till they are less busy”.
He said the presumption of new artistes is annihilating a portion of the indigenous Ghanaian sounds, particularly Highlife.
A large number of the youthful artistes don’t make an endeavor to get familiar with all there is about highlife since they trust they realize all there is, he noted.
He expressed what the artists know isn’t nearer to the “indigenous” highlife music.
The “Mehia Odo” vocalist clarified, ” my father (highlife legend Ajeiku) and musicians his time played the indigenous highlife, then George Darko, Lee Duodo and co came with the ‘Burger Highlife’. They managed to fuse in the original highlife and still made it authentic.”
As per him, Kojo Antwi and Daddy Lumba likewise conveyed their adaptation to the highlife brand yet they adhered nearer to the original sound.
