Google presented Google Duo together with Allo, and very different from that app, still Duo is going strong. For the previous few weeks, we have been seeing hints of Duo web support, finally the service will go live. You just have to visit the Duo site, and there you would be able to place calls from your browser.
In order to get started with Duo on the web you don’t need to go through a difficult startup procedure—no QR code scans or phone number authentication such as the ones required in rest of the Google products. You are only supposed to be logged into your Google account. You are obviously able to choose to answer Duo calls on your phone rather than on the web (in case you are logged in, you will get a browser notification).
All of your synced Duo contacts are included on the page; therefore you have the ability to click on someone included in the list or search a contact in order to start a call. Both voice and video calls are supported by the web version, and you are going to have a preview window in order to assure the thing that you look presentable prior to start doing it. The UI is able to display either narrow or regular (for a phone screen) video frames.
This may be a very big rollout as most of the accounts seem to have Google Duo web.
