The Eastern Regional Secretariat of the Opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) has expressed that it won’t permit any covered security usable in Saturday’s flagbearership decision.
The Regional Secretary Mark Oliver Kevor, addressing the media said the gathering has given over the whole security tasks to the Police and has requested that the Police manage knaves who will act mischievously under the appearance of giving parallel security in any structure.
“We have told the territorial Commander of Police in light of the fact that as a gathering we have concluded that we won’t depend on any inner gathering security. We are expecting that the police assume responsibility for the security for the day. We don’t need anyone to wear shirts, covers or whatever depicting himself as gathering security or do any security work on the day. We have given the Police our full responsibility and we have requested that they manage reprobates will’s identity getting into mischief for the sake of Party inner security agents”.
He said around 29,000 representatives are relied upon to cast their votes in the locale. Surveys start at 7am and closes 5pm.
The representatives, he stated, comprise of branch administrators, Constituency officials, Regional Executives, Founding Members, Regional Council of Elders, Members of Parliament and Former Government Appointees who are card bearing individuals from the gathering.
The race will occur in every one of the 33 Constituencies in the locale. Materials and all required coordinations have been dispatched to the voting demographics.
He said the gathering is anticipating free, reasonable, straightforward and tranquil race.
The NDC is making a beeline for the surveys Saturday, February 23 to choose a flagbearer in front of the 2020 decisions.
Mahama is fighting six others including Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin and Joshua Alabi for the chance to lead the NDC into the 2020 general decisions where he will probably confront his old foe occupant President Nana Akufo-Addo.
