The manufacturer of the bonkers Light L16 having 16 cameras, Light has done a partnership officially with Sony Semiconductor Solutions. This thing suggests that the Sony customers would be recommended to use Sony sensors and partners in addition to using them in the reference designs of its own.
The final result of this is to create multi-camera alternatives for all the smartphones out there having 4 or more than 4 cameras. The smartphone manufacturers are supposed to receive these multi-camera computational photography setups for the next generation phones (if you do not understand it, these are not supposed to just be offered for Sony Xperia phones).

Head of product, Aric Marshall declared that for instance a mixture of color and monochrome sensors are able to help them capture more detail and more of the light that is there.
The previous year, some rumors were circling around that linked the Nokia 9 PureView with Light (as Light did a partnership with FIH Mobile, also connected with HMD). On February 24, the latest PureView phone is supposed to be disclosed and it is going to come equipped with a five-camera setup.
