It was reported that Google Chrome 73 is going to be the first version of the browser that is to support multimedia keys on keyboards.
This is supposed to enable the users to control their audio and video content in the browser simply by using specialised buttons on some particular keyboards.
Chrome is going to enable its users to control their media at a tab level – somewhat, pressing pause or play is supposed to control all media inside the browser, not depending upon which tab is open.
By this time, the new feature is offered for Chrome Canary and Chrome 73 Beta users in order to test with YouTube.
Chrome 73 is scheduled to come out the coming month, and at the start it is supposed to be offered for Windows, Chrome OS and macOS. Linux will get support at some later date.
On 30 January 2019 the existing version of the browser, Chrome 72, got presented and it has its main target on stability and security.
