This week, Skype is going to have the latest screen-blurring feature. Now the users of Microsoft’s video and voice calling service are able to select to have the ability to blur the background on video calls in case the scene behind them is a thing they do not wish to share.
The main target of the feature is to save the user’s blushes since they are making a Skype call from a messy room, or to make a business plan murky on a whiteboard behind them, as just some examples.
As the software giant says, in Skype, background blur is quite same as to background blur in Microsoft Teams. The results are rather same as the “bokeh” effect that is seen most often in Portrait photos on iPhone, but in this particular situation, in a live video stream.
The feature is scheduled to be offered for desktops, mobile, and web, and you can enable the feature in Skype’s settings or simply by using the video call button.
