Ivy Heward Mills, spouse of the late Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North, JB Danqua-Adu, has sued the Assin Central MP and eight others for maligning, requesting GH¢50 million.
The suit comes couple of months after the frank MP made a few remarks which proposed that the late MP’s widow was involved with private insightful columnist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
Mr. Agyapong made the remark in front of the debuting of Anas’ ‘Number 12’ insightful piece which unwound claimed degenerate dealings in the Ghana Football Association.
The widow, in any case, complained in the claims and has chosen to drag the administrator to court over the remarks she esteems to be disparaging.
Joined to the suit are Kennedy Agyapong’s Kencity Media, Despite Group Limited, Multimedia Group Limited, EIB Group, Joy Daddy Media Group, F-Giant Broadcasting Limited, Apex Media and Ghana Soccernet.
She is requesting harms to the tune of GH¢50 million from the MP and alternate respondents.
Aside from the cash, Ivy likewise needs the offended parties to apologize for the disparaging proclamations endorsed by the court and should “be distributed with indistinguishable noticeable quality from the abusive articulations and productions on the different destinations or stations that the announcements were distributed and in the Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times”.
The Abuakwa North MP was on February 9, 2016, wounded to death in his home at Shiashe in Accra.
The late MP met his inopportune demise when Daniel Asiedu supposedly went to his home to loot him and amid a battle cut the MP on numerous occasions.
