The ninth round of ‘yellow vests’ protests have started in France which led to dozens of arrests and clashes in Paris.
Initially, the nationwide protests started over the rising price of fuel.
Police have to use water cannon and tear gas to halt the fight at the Arc de Triomphe. It is the ninth consecutive weekend of protests. Almost 84,000 protesters took part in protests nationwide. The figure saw an increase as compared with last week.

Thousands of officers also positioned across Paris to handle the protesters. The parts of the city center also blocked off by police. More than 8,000 protesters have seen on the streets in the past two weekends. However, the authorities just showed 3,500 people on 5 January and 800 on 29 December.
Police have arrested around 156 protesters and 108 remained in custody. No looting or burning of cars has witnessed by nightfall as observed in previous weeks.
