he Electoral Commission (EC) on Friday cleared Mr. Delali Kwasi Brempong, the National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament Aspirant for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency to challenge the by-race, slated on January 31, 2019.
The EC gave the ‘green light’ to the wannabe after he recorded his assignment shape with the Ayawaso District Office situated at the Electoral Commission’s central station in Accra.
The seat ended up empty after the passing of Mr. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, the sitting Member of Parliament on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.
Mr. Brempong touched base at the commence of the Commission at 1215 hours, with the gathering officials and supporters to introduce the structures.
Mr. Charles Kwame Osei, the Deputy Returning Officer, Ayawaso West Wuogon who got the structures, in a meeting said the Commission was happy with the arrangements on the designation frames after its evaluation.
“We have experienced every one of the structures to cross-check and ensure that the structures are all together, and I can reveal to you that the NDC competitor has met the required prerequisites by EC to challenge the by-race.”
He said as required, the NDC hopeful presented a check for GHC10,000.00 as recording expense, two enrolled voters’ marks on the structures as a proposer and seconder, separately.
This was bolstered by 18 other enlisted voters in the Constituency as consenting to the assignment.
Different reports are two duplicates of an ongoing post-card-estimate photo taken against a red foundation, uncovering the full face and ears of the applicant.
