Simplehuman is basically a company renowned for its analog trash cans, toilet plungers and soap dispensers, but now it is embracing a digital future. The company came once again to this specific consumer electronics show in order to display the latest pedestal mirror that further has Google’s voice assistant. The Sensor Mirror Hi-Fi Assist obviously pairs a looking glass having speaker and microphone, enabling you to ask Google what’s up.
In addition to the Assistant integration, the mirror is going to pull double duty as compared to an AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth speaker for your home. Simplehuman promises that the device is going to come with a custom, Danish-designed 2.5-inch acoustic driver so as to provide room-filling sound. Walk in the direction of the mirror, too, and automatically the built-in tru-lux bulbs are going to reflect daylight in the morning, but in the evening they give out dusky hues.
It was possible to have the voice assistants seared into mirrors earlier than this, particularly in case you knew your way around a Raspberry Pi. But in this effort, the commercial smart mirrors have been limited to just some high-price items, in addition to Philips’ Hue Adore, when it is linked up with the correct accessories. If the offering of Simplehuman’s appears to be worth trying, then you can have it for $400 when it comes out in spring. At the same time, a HiFi-only edition is to come out, having a price tag of $350.
