England home secretary has declared “major incident” as the increasing number of migrant trying to cross the Channel in small boats.
According to the Home Office, they have called an emergency with French counterpart as it is the matter of urgency to protect the people losing their lives.
Since the start of November this year, 221 migrants have tried to cross the Channel to England.
Officials have cautioned that it is so dangerous to cross through the small boat in the busiest shipping lane of the world. Recently, twelve people were detained off the coast of Dover on Friday Morning.
The Home secretary, Mr Sajid Javaid is responsible for the handling and the incidents result and to establish the strategy to dealing the issues. He has spoken to Border Force officials, Immigration Enforcement and the National Crime Agency in a conference call.
The home secretary is also supposed to call his French counterpart as soon as possible on weekend to confirm the enduring need for the UK and France to work closely together to deal with the serious problem.
The Home secretary of England as also custom-made detailed options from Border Force about the provision of additional vessels in the Channel, including another Border Force cutter, and whether this is likely to encourage more people to try and make the crossing rather than act as a deterrence.”
