One year earlier, Google has presented a parental control app called the Family Link on Android smartphones. This app enables the parents to control and check the way their children are using their Android smartphones. The app has given a complete control to parents that they are able to decide which sites their kids should visit and which apps they are able to download. Parents are even able to lock their kid’s device down. At this time, family link app is added to Google Chromebook for a much better parental control.
A short while earlier, Family Link app was presented having limited functionality but at this time, on the way their children are using the Google Chromebook. By having these latest features, parents are remotely able to lock down the devices. Still, the kids are going to be able to access the Chrome Web Store and Google Play store in case the parents create supervised accounts. Though, parents are able to check out the activities of their kids and approve the downloaded apps.
Parents are able to whitelist apps by means of this latest feature. They are also able to control over in-app purchases b getting help from supervised accounts. Another interesting thing is that the parents are also going to be able to check out an activity report of their kids through this app and they are going to be told how their kids use the device. Even parents are also supposed to know about the total time spent on the device.
Parents are also able to start supervised accounts for their teenage kids however Google gives the choice to teenagers to leave Family Link and chuck out the controls. Both the users of iOS and Android users are able to use the Family Link app for parents.
