The Electoral Commission (EC) on Monday said its prepared for the lead of the choice booked for Thursday, December 27 for the formation of six new Regions – Oti, North East, Savannah, Ahafo, Bono East and Western North.
Mr Yussif Alhassan Ayoba, the EC Assistant Head of Communications, said the Commission was as of now holding preparing programs for its staff towards the lead of the choice.
He said the preparation practice covers appointive officers, for example, Presiding Officers, Verification Officers and the Polling Assistants; including that, preparation of constituent authorities was one of the real strides in the discretionary procedure.
Addressing the Ghana News Agency in Accra, Mr Ayoba said on the whole, the all out number of surveying stations in the six districts was 4,571.
The local circulations of the surveying stations are Bono East 1,137; Ahafo 661; Western North 947; Oti – 779; Savannah 557 and North East 490.
He said application for Proxy Voting and the application for Transfer of Votes found some conclusion a week ago Thursday, December 6.
He said regarding coordinations as well, the Commission was especially set; pronouncing that “the greater part of the materials that we will requirement for the choice had gone to the different locales and to the areas.
“It is simply left with a not many that we think by the twentieth (of December) every one of the materials required for the activity ought to be in the regions”.
Mr Ayoba said casting a ballot would start on December 27, at 0700 hours and finishes at 1700 hours.
He noticed that any voter, who might be in the line at the end of the day at 1700 would be allowed to cast a ballot.
Mr Ayoba asked qualified voters in the influenced areas to turn out and practice their establishment in the choice.
