At least 43 people have killed and 83 others injured in a suicide bomb explosion at a gathering of religious scholars in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The blast took place when the clerics met at the Uranus wedding hall to spot the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. Uranus wedding hall is a large banqueting complex near the airport.
The current blast is one of the deadliest attacks in Kabul. No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
How the blast occurred?
Almost 1,000 people congregated in the complex at the time of the blast. According to Kabul police spokesman, Basir Mujahid: “Islamic scholars and their followers had gathered to recite verses from the holy Koran to observe the Eid Milad-un-Nabi festival.”
The suicide bomber entered, moved to the center of the gathering and exploded his explosives. Mohammad Hanif, religious studies lecturer further told that “everyone in the halls was screaming for help”.
Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani also condemned the terrorist attack and announced Wednesday a day of national mourning.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan also sent his condolences to the grieving families and condemned the “cowardly act of terrorism”.
A Taliban spokesman, Zabiullah Mujeed has repudiated the group had any contribution in Tuesday’s attack.
