
A clash between Toyota mini bus and a Kia truck on the Tema-Aflao Highway, as a result, three passengers died on the spot whilst numerous others sustained different kinds of harms, near Bundase in the Greater Accra Region.
The dead bodies of a woman and two men have been deposited at the morgue of the Tema General Hospital pending autopsy.
In the meantime, the hurt passengers were receiving treatment at the Tema General Hospital and a nearby clinic at Sege in the Ada West of the Greater Accra Region.
Superintendent Mohammed Issah Katoona, the Commander of the Prampram District Police confirmed the incident, and explained that the accident occurred at around 6:30pm on Wednesday.
He stressed out that Toyota bus with registration number GT 4315-17 having passengers among them mostly were traders from the Kasseh Market in Ada onboard, who were travelling from the Tema direction towards Aflao while the Kia Truck was going on opposite direction.
According to the police chief, the accident happened when the driver of the bus attempted to overtake a further motor vehicle, he added that he veered into the lane of the Kia Truck, which result into the deadly accident.
According to him, the driver of the bus and his conductor got injuries in the legs whereas the Kia Truck driver also sustained injury on the forehead.
