After a move that we have all seen put into practice by Facebook and GTA Online, Microsoft is taking work from Forza Horizon 4 in-game bonuses in order to make livestreams of the game on both the broadcasting and viewing sides. It provides the streamers with some further reasons to play, and, obviously, some additional opportunities to boast it to potential players.
Regarding the FH4, watching players on the Mixer streaming platform by Microsoft by having an account linked to your Xbox gamertag) is supposed to put several of the game’s “Influence” points into your account at all the five minutes, and in case you are streaming it for rest of the people to watch the bonuses come in at every couple of minutes. The game is not going to get presented until September 28th, for the Ultimate Edition or October 2nd for all the other people on Xbox One and PC, but now you can earn the credits by means of the demo that got out just this week.
Seeing the fact that Microsoft has its own livestreaming platform and how popular the streams are, it affects the sales very much, it is rather possible that this is the last time we are going to see this sort of push. Now, the only question is if it is going to turn out to be as annoying and potentially expensive as the loot box craze of the previous few years?
