North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has told South Korean adviser that he wants to denuclearize the Korean peninsula in the course of US president’s first term in office, as his faith in Trump remains unchanged.
In response, U.S. President Donald Trump appreciated the Korean leader remarks by saying that we both will do it together.
South Korean leader Kim Jong Un expressed “unwavering faith in President Trump”. Trump showed gratitude to Kim in reaction, and said: “We will get it done together!”
Earlier, both leaders vowed to denuclearise the Korean peninsula during their Singapore summit in June. However, the relations of both countries soured after the historic talks.
Mr. Kim expressed his views to envoys from Seoul. The envoy is there in North Korea to organize a new leader’s summit. The summit scheduled held later this month in Pyongyang.
Moon Jae-in’s national security adviser, Chung Eui-yong detailed that,
“Chairman Kim… expressed frustration over the doubt shown by some parts of the international society about his will”.
He further added, “North Korea has been pre-emptively carrying out measures needed for denuclearisation, and Kim said he would appreciate that such good faith is accepted with good faith.”
A media source further detailed while mentioning him,
“The North and the South should further their efforts to realise the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula”.
