The World Trade Centre (WTC) Accra has been selected by the World Trade Centres Association (WTCA) to host its 2021 general assembly.
Ghana was selected based on the submission of a highly compelling bid to host the event in addition to what the country had to offer members of the WTCA as well as to global companies looking to explore Africa as a business destination.
The Managing Director of the WTC Accra, Ms Jane Reindorf-Attoh who announced this at a News conference in Accra on Wednesday said the General Assembly was the WTCA’s premiere event and was held each spring in a different cities around the world and hosted by a member of the association.
She said the event served as a networking platform for WTCs and both local and international companies, helping businesses around the globe to find new partners and enter new markets.
Ms Reindorf-Attoh said the most recent assembly was held in April 2018 at WTC Leeuwarden in the Netherlands while that for 2019 and 2020 would be hosted by WTCs Queretaro in Mexico and Taiwan respectively.
