It seems as if the officials from Google’s Nest division are finding ways to acquiring the Nokia Health division from the Finnish company. Nokia has reported in the past that it is looking into whether or not it should sell their Health division, just two years later than acquiring the French health company Withings themselves.
As stated in a report, Nest is not going to be the only interested party in a potential takeover of Nokia Health, including two yet undetermined European companies.
Supposedly, Nest is finding ways to make its market bigger with electronic health products, and the Nokia Health products fit rightly in this plan having their hybrid smart watches for example the Steel HR and rest of the health-related products. The company also makes a sleep tracker that requires to be installed below a mattress and smart scales by having an internet connection.
Nest, conversely, at present produces security cameras and smart thermostats. An attainment of Nokia Health is greatly going to widen their assortment of products.
Though, the French government may figure out an issue if Nest wishes to invade Nokia’s division, since the government favors that the division stays in the controls of France, finishing Nest’s chances of a real takeover. None of the companies has commented on the rumors, and Nokia is still thinking about selling its division.
