Late Ghanaian dancehall act, Ebony Reigns
Minister for Tourism, Arts & Culture, Catherine Abelema Afeku has recently slammed all the rumors regarding late Ghanaian dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns getting a state burial by saying that it’s a huge misconception. She also expressed that she has promised Ebony’s family to give the dancehall act a befitting burial but she didn’t mention state burial as she has no say in that matter.
While speaking exclusively to the media, the Mister of Tourism expressed that, ‘Giving state burial is a highly private family issue. However, we talked to family and told them that on behalf of the ministry, we will help give her a befitting burial and that’s exactly what we are doing. But there would be no state burial for her’.
Ebony Reigns met a fatal accident on February 8, 2018 and died at the spot. She was coming way from Snyani and headed towards Kumasi when the incident took place which took her life. Her one week memorial celebration held on the last Sunday in Accra and it witnessed huge number of patrons and celebrities.
Reigns is going to be buried on March 17, 2018 and the venue is not decided yet. Rest in Peace beautiful Reigns.
