Two men who supposedly stole the dead body of an old man at the Tarkwa Municipal healing center morgue have been conceded safeguard in the total of GHC30,000 each with two sureties by the Tarkwa circuit court.
The blamed people, John Asante, 37, a funeral home specialist at the Tarkwa civil clinic and Seth Owusu, 48, refrigerator technician at Atonsu-Bokro, a suburb of Kumasi and the third presume Efo Kwesi is on the run.
They argued not liable to trick to perpetrate wrongdoing and taking.
The Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Faustina Celestina Anaman, told the court, managed by Mr. Emmanuel Bart-Plange Brew, that the complainant, John Kofi Tenge is an occupant rancher at Wassa Tintinum, close Aboso.
She said on May 22, a year ago, the complainant’s dad, John Kwaku Tenge, matured 112, passed away and the relatives kept his body at the Tarkwa Municipal clinic’s funeral home for safeguarding.
As per the trusty records, Inspector Anaman stated, the body was given C-217 as its ID number and the complainant paid customary visit at the funeral home to beware of his late father’s body.
The Prosecutor said on November 22, the complainant saw his late father’s body and paid every one of the bills brought about for it to be arranged and covered on November 25.
