Ghanaian numerous awards winning dancehall artist, Stonebwoy
Self-styled dancehall prince, Livingstone Etse Satekla better known as Stonebwoy once again elaborated that importance of Ghanaian music by stating that Afrobeats couldn’t get such position without Ghanaians.
It was alleged that Nigerians have a legislative instrument (LI) that prevents their DJ’s from playing more than 10 per cent of foreign songs in their country; a move which has eventually increased their share numbers to put their industry players on the map.
Stonebwoy stressed that:
‘We have to copy the Nigerians. They support each other and play 90-10. I think we should just copy them. It is not about competition but it’s about inspiring Ghanaian musicians to break through the music industry.’
According to Stonebwoy, he believes artistes in Ghana are talented and skilled to produce better songs for the international market. Stonebwoy has released his third studio album titled ‘Epitles of Mama’ EOM on Tuesday December 12, 2017.
