Ken Offori Atta, the Ministry of Finance has reacted to what it describes as unconfirmed claims by the Minority in Parliament over the energy bond.
Ministry announced that, the arguments put forward by the side do not replicate the actual situation.
On Wednesday, the Minority held a press conference where it criticized the below 6 billion cedis yield of the bond.
Ministry argued that the national development is a solid basis for the finance minister to be hauled before the house to explain why investment advice from places such as the IMF among others was ignored.
But the Finance Ministry has on a point by point basis, dismissed the declaration by the minority.
The Ministry of Finance takes notice of the Statement by the NDC Minority in Parliament making various unsubstantiated claims about the recently issued Energy Sector Levy Act (ESLA) backed energy bond. The Ministry issued a statement as the ‘Sponsor’ of the GH¢10 billion Bond Program.
The Minority’s statement is burdened with various factual untruths which appear to be intentionally turned to allow them to reach their own preferred conclusions.
