Gunmen stormed their way into the Shamshad TV building where two people have been reported dead.
Militants used police uniform as an overt variation to deceive and breach the security at the site.
Attackers used hand grenades to undo the Television station and people in close contingency before security officials launched a successful operation to clear the building.
The militant group ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) is said to be behind the attack, but no claims have been made so far.
A security guard is killed in the attack whereas 20 others are injured and being treated in hospitals.
Afghanistan is fighting militancy since decades. It’s not for the first time some public installation has been hit by the militants.
United States has his forces in Afghanistan since the demise of World Trade center in 2001.
NATO alliance has its military bases in numbers throughout Afghanistan to fight out militancy but they haven’t succeeded. Instead the peace and security situation has worsened in recent years.
The expansion and establishment of ISIS under the very strong military presence of NATO alliance in the region strengthen the claims of those that foreign intruders have some personal ends to meet in supporting militancy.
