A cargo plane plunged into the sea in Ivory Coast, near Abidjan airport leaving four people dead and six injured. Ten people were on-board on turboprop plane. The plane wreckage swept toward a beach wherein rescuers were treating crewmen on the sand.

The dead were Moldovan national while four injured belongs to France and two to Moldova. The plane crashed after it takes off from Ivory Coast on Saturday, local police reported. Before crash, the plane tried hard to land but in vain.
A spokesman said, “We have six injured that we have evacuated to the Port-Bouet camp in Abidjan for treatment. I cannot yet confirm any cases of death, since we are waiting to see”
The local media also reported that they have taken one person into their custody. The main cause of plane crash was storm of heavy rain and lightning. Ukrainian-made Antonov plane was chartered by the French army as part of its anti-jihadist Operation ‘Barkhane’.
Moreover, a student told that the plane broke into two parts in shallow water. He was at home when he found a plane hovering low in sky. According to him, stormy weather caused the plane to crash.
He further told ‘There was winds yesterday and I saw how planes seemed to have difficulties in getting up’.
