Whereas almost all of the tweets on Twitter are a quick read, many people still wish to find a way to save those worthy of a more detailed inspection. After getting lots of appeals for a “Save for Later” feature, finally, the company has begun developing a Bookmarking tool during its yearly Hack Week activities. The product manager of Twitter, Jesar Shah has declared the feature on the platform and posted a quick demo of the prototype they produced at the event.
Twitter is developing a bookmarking feature
It seems that they plan to replace the “send via DM” icon on the bottom right part of tweets having an overflow menu. That menu will contain both the “share via DM” and the newly coming “Add to Bookmark” features; however, the final version could adopt a different form. All the tweets added to Bookmarks can then be accessed by means of a list in settings.
Shah also unveiled that users presently make do by Liking or sending tweets to themselves by means of DM. When the feature gets released, they no longer have to do any of those whenever they see tweets with photos consisting of a longer message, those that mark the start of a series or those that link to long pieces they would like to access when they have more time at hand.
