Rumored specs disclose for the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL
Some of the new features were rumoured yesterday which is supposed to come with the Google Pixel 2 and the Google Pixel 2 XL. Some of these specs include always on song recognition, a portrait camera mode that will work with software to create that very important bokeh effect, and dual front-facing speakers. At this time, we have the latest rumoured specs pertaining to the two new Pixel models.
The Pixel 2 XL will have a Gorilla Glass 5 protected curved OLED panel, having a resolution of 1440 x 2560 (QHD). Run on the Snapdragon 835 chipset, the model will be having a 64GB or 128GB of native storage. The screen size is not known yet, though early gossips said for a 6-inch display. The screen to body ratio is in the range of 80% to 85%, which shows that the Pixel 2 XL will have thin bezels and an edge-to-edge screen same as the Samsung Galaxy S8.
It is expected that the Pixel 2 XL will ship without a headphone jack, and only in some particular markets will a Type-C USB headphone be contained out of the box. We would be able to see a dual camera setup on the back of the phone with OIS found on no less than one of the sensors. The e-SIM card fitted inside the handset will let users switch networks without the need to swap SIM cards. The second-generation fingerprint scanner by Google is on board. An IP67 certification rating tells that the device can be sunken in as much as 3.3 feet of water for as long as 30 minutes, and come out safe. A 3,520 mAh battery will run the Pixel 2 XL. Thanks to the HTC-Google transaction, users might be allowed to crush the phone, same as the Edge Sense on the HTC U11, to introduce Google Assistant or dismiss an alarm.
The Google Pixel 2 will have similar specs as the Google Pixel 2 XL apart from for the following changes. The screen of Google Pixel 2 will be smaller, will feature a 1080 x 1920 (FHD) resolution and it won’t carry a curve. Another difference compared to the Pixel 2 XL is a smaller 2700mAh battery.
Buyers of any of the model will be getting unlimited free Google cloud storage until the year 2023. The phones will be disclosed on Wednesday, October 4th.
