The Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamamudu Bawumia is on three days official visit of Islamic Republic of Iran. He left Accra on Thursday to visit the Islamic country.
Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iranian Foreign Minister also held separate meeting with Dr Mahamamudu Bawumia
The President of Iran, H.E. Dr Hassan Rouhani has invited him in inauguration ceremony. Earlier in May, Rouhani won the presidential election. He also secured an absolute majority of votes. Dr Hassan Rouhani has re-elected for his second term in office. The swearing-in ceremony of President Rouhani will held at Iranian parliament on August 5
At the same time, Bawumia also aimed to talk on areas of mutual interest to develop further cooperation between both countries.
Many Ministers and government officials are also with him during the tour. These include Minister for Information, Mustapha Hamid and Minister for Business Development, Ibrahim Mohammed Awal . Minister for Zongo Development, Boniface Abubakar Siddique and Mohammed Habib Tijani, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs accompanied him.
Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iranian Foreign Minister held separate meeting with the vice-president of Ghana. They talked on a range of matters including the latest struggles to strengthen the bilateral ties.
The both countries also exchanged opinions on methods to lift Tehran-Accra relations in miscellaneous areas like industry, energy, and agriculture. Moreover, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the associates will arrive to Ghana on Monday, 7th August 2017.
