The Auditor General, Daniel Yaw Domelevo has expressed that the review benefit is not working under political impact, fairly, following up on proficient premise.
He specified amid a public interview held by the Audit Service in Accra that he is just serving the nation’s enthusiasm, including that no political gathering can deflect him.
”When I was confirmed, I made it clear that my loyalty is to no one however the constitution of Ghana and that is precisely what we are doing. I can guarantee Ghanaians that we are not working under political impact; we are doing proficient work. I implore and trust that no political impact comes our direction since it won’t prevent us from doing our work,” he noted.
Reviewer General was talking following hostile to debasement campaigner, Ace Ankomah’s remark that ”There is a stunning seismic tremor happening unobtrusively at the Auditor-General’s Department and the Department may have recovered its bark however it is a big enchilada on the administration’s chain. The office, while ensured autonomy by the Constitution, is not upheld by budgetary freedom.
The office needs government to get even a printer. The administration pays staff pay rates and inconspicuous political impact can decide advancements and advantages. The administration shows its financial plan to the legislature for avocation. Furthermore, their financial plan is never met.”
The choice of the Auditor-General to recoup all state stores which have been misused by people engaged with open office came after the Supreme Court’s judgment.
The judgment by a seven-part board said the request influenced both open authorities and private people found to have plundered state coffers.
