The newly elected North Korean president Moon Jae-in wants to review Seoul stance on North Korea.
Moon Jae-in is a liberal reformer who came into power after winning snap elections.
He wants “serious negotiations” with all the stake holders to neutralize the graving tensions with North Korea.
The snap elections were contested because former president Park Geun-hye was impeached and forced to withdraw from the office.
Moon Jae-in wants to negotiate will North Korea on all the critical contemporary issues entailing the Korean Peninsula.
Moon Jae-in approach towards North Korea is contradicts to former North Korean president Park Geun-hye’s stance.
Park didn’t want to allow any leverage to South Korea and had a very hardcore stance to counter North Korea.
This ‘change’ is hailed by the peace lovers from all over the world.
U.S has his air craft’s and anti-missile systems operational in Korean peninsula and is having joint drills with North Korea in a move to pressurize South Korea.
The main idea behind the U.S move is to refrain Pyongyang from testing nuclear arsenals.
North Korea though has never bowed down to U.S pressure and has continued with its policy of testing ballistic missiles.
The newly elected North Korean president and his very positive approach and soft tone is a big sigh of relief for those who feared that Korean crisis could result in a deadly war.
