It is expected that Aberdeen is confident of signing Shaun Maloney, the Hull City midfielder at the end of the season.

Since 2015, Shaun Maloney has been with Hull City. However, the 34-year-old Scotland international is out of contract with the English Premier League club this summer. The midfielder has made just 13 appearances this season in which 8 were from the bench. Moreover, the player has 47 caps.
Niall McGinn has refused to sign a new deal with the Dons and hence the club is looking forward to sign Maloney. On 27th May, the Derek McInnes’ side will face Celtic in the Scottish Cup final and currently they lie second in the Scottish Premiership.
In contrast, Maloney’s side are third bottom of the table and battling to avoid relegation, had 2spells in the Scottish top flight with Celtic, interrupted by a year with Aston Villa. The 34-year-old left the Glasgow club a second time in 2011 to join Wigan Athletic and joined Hull after leaving Chicago Fire.
