Pro-EU centrist, Emmanuel Macron’s win has been a sigh of relief for the European countries.
Vladimir Putin, Russian president, urged the newly selected French president on collective security measures.
Emmanuel Macron defeated the far right Marine Le Pen, who threatened to pull France out of EU.
Emmanuel got 66% votes compared to Marine Le Pen’s 34% to become the French president.
The attentions now will divert towards the growing global issues one of which is providing safe passage to UK to exit the EU.
Germany also hailed the success of Emmanuel’s victory and in a tweet congratulated the newly selected president.
“It would the start of strengthening of relations between Germany and Paris, the statement said.
“The Paris-Berlin axis has always driven the European union forward” said the German spokes team.
The European commissioner chief, Claude, also congratulated Emmanuel on his success and said its good to see the French choosing a European future.
