Jonathan Mensah, the Ghana defender made Major League Soccer debut for Columbus Crew past weekend and is satisfied with his performance.
On Saturday, the centre-back made an impressive debut in Crew’s defence as the Black & Gold drew 1-1 with Chicago Fire in their opening Major League Soccer match of 2017.
The match was played at the Mapfre stadium and Mensah played the full 90 minutes’ duration. In the 17th minute the leading goal was made by Ethan but couldn’t prevent compatriot David Accam who scored an equalizer.
Mensah says, “[My MLS debut] wasn’t bad. I did what I could do and I hope I improve game after game. The result wasn’t what we wanted, but a lot of positive stuff and we will pick it up from there and look to the next game. [The atmosphere at MAPFRE Stadium] was good. This is my first time and I really liked it. I hope it’s going to continue like that.”
