Kobina Amissah, the Elmina Sharks head coach expresses that his side was unlucky in Sundays fixture as it conceding 1-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko. The match was played in Kumasi.
In the final minute of the additional time, the defender Emmanuel Gyamfi slotted home to upend the stubborn visitors. Kobina encouraged his team for their strong fight and insisted they didn’t deserve to lose.
The head coach say, ”We came with a game plan to frustrate Kotoko. From the start of the game, they were passing from the back, which meant our plan worked. I’ll say we lost narrowly due to hard luck because we were talking about ending the game with a goalless draw but unfortunately for us, we couldn’t sustain into the last minute.’’
He added, ”Gyamfi’s goal was a goal every player could have scored. It wasn’t a ‘workable’ goal. Indirectly, it’s not a perfect goal so I’ll say my players did very well.”
