Former Chief Executive of the Ghana’s Volta River Authority (VRA), Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby has bemoaned the poor state of the nation and said Ghana has failed after 60 years of Independence.
Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby
He asked Ghanaians to look at the condition of the country and weep because you as a nation have failed to survive as an independent nation.
As indicated by famous businessman and politician, our country has failed to accomplish anything as compared to the West African country as yet trying to get by without the assistance of its donor partners.
As Ghana is going to celebrate its 60th anniversary on 6th March but according to Dr. Wereko-Brobby, Ghana has achieved nothing in these sixty years and instead of celebrating 60th anniversary we should better promise to ourselves to work hard for our country.
He said, ‘On this anniversary, we should all go to the black star square and cry because it’s going to be a 60th Independence Day of Ghana but we have failed.’
Ghana got independence on 6th March 1957 from the United Kingdom.
Regarding Independence Day celebration, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has uncovered it will cost the nation GHC20 million to arrange and organize the approaching Ghana@60 festivities.
