President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that if he keeps on telling his nation about the poor economic conditions of the country, then doesn’t take it as he complains too much.

He explained that he tells his citizens about the ‘ailing economy’ and condition of the state that they can able to see the difference during his reign.
He said this during his maiden State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. He said, ‘I want Ghanaians to appreciate my efforts afterward.’
He said, ‘I am not complaining here by telling you true condition of the nation, neither was I elected to complain. My work is to get things fix and I will perform my duty honestly.’
He assured people that he will do best for this country and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) government is determined to transform the poor conditions, saying, ‘I was elected by the people to fix what is broken and my government and I are already working hard to get things done.’
President Akufo Addo said he is confident and sure about the bright future of Ghana but for achieving that his government has to implement wise, judicious, tough and creative policies to get Ghana out of challenges.
He gave hope to Ghanaians, saying, ‘we will deal with the economic challenges.’
