Asamoah Gyan, Black Stars captain hails the departing Ghana Coach Avram Grant.
The former West Ham and Chelsea boss, Avram Grant and Ghana Football Association have agreed not to renew their contract at the end of the month. The Israeli is on his way out as head Coach of the senior National team.
The Black Stars iconic skipper paid a warm tribute to the ex-West Ham manager. Gyan has said, “Grant is a wonderful Coach, he advises his players off the field, and I believe all the players have enjoyed working with him. He is one of the jovial men I have ever come across, he is very disciplined and I have learnt a lot from him. He has thought me so many things.’’
He added, “Many people see him as a different person but if you get close to him you will see he is a very good man.”
A two-year contract was signed between Grant and GFA in 2014. Avram helped his team stand second place finish at the Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinean and guided them the semi-finals of the 2017 edition of the competition.
