Ghana Black Stars will face Cameroon in the second semi-final of the ongoing 2017 Africa Cup of Nations today in Gabon as Egypt earlier make it to the final of the tournament by beating Burkina Faso 4-3 on penalties after the game ends in a 1-1 draw.
CK Akonnor, the ex- Ghana captain warned the Ghanaian players that they should not underrate Cameroon for Thursday semi-final clash in the Nations Cup.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon is a young team with 14 new faces in the squad, who are making their debut in the 23-man squad.
Despite a young team, they have made it to the semi-final of the tournament and they beat Senegal, Africa’s number one team in the rankings.
The Cameroonians should not be taken lightly despite the issues that are going through between the players and their board.
It will be a tough game, but Black Stars have edge in terms of experience, says the Dreams FC coach during the press conference.
Ghana can win this game, but don’t underrate them because they have eliminated favorites Senegal at the quarter-finals stage and can do anything to Black Stars especially in absence of the captain Asamoah Gyan.
The captain of the Black Stars got injured during Ghana’s last group game against Egypt and missed out quarter-final clash with DR Congo.
