During the press conference, the head coach of Ghana Black Stars, Avram Grant told the media that the team felt the absence of Asamoah Gyan during their quarter-final game against DR Congo.
Gyan was on benched during Black Stars last game due to knee injury, according to the media reports.
According to the reports from Israeli trainer, the result would have been much better, if Gyan was part of the game.
However, he gives full credit to players like Jordan and Andre Ayew for their wonderful performance in absence of their captain.
The truth is that everyone missed Gyan, because he was part of our plans until the last minute of the game.
I will praise those who stand and deliver in place of Gyan, they were equally good, showed determination and passion throughout the game, says the head coach of Ghana Black Stars.
According to the reports, Gyan may lead the Black Stars, when they will take on Cameroon on Thursday in the semi-final clash at Franceville.
Ghana beat DR Congo 2-1 in the last eight stage of the tournament, thanks to Ayew brothers.
