The Black Stars of Ghana will take on indomitable lion of Cameroon for the race to the final of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

Cameroon makes it to the last four of the championship by beating hot favorite Senegal on penalties in the quarter-final clash. This is their forth semi-final appearance in the 21st century, having last played in the 2008 edition against same Ghanaian side.
Ghana will be without their key player and captain, Asamoah Gyan, who also misses out the quarter-final clash with DR Congo, which they won 2-1, thanks to Ayew brothers who scored the both goals in 15 minutes interval.
This is Ghana’s sixth consecutive Africa Cup of Nations semi-final appearance as they continue to hope for AFCON title since last won in 1982.
Both sides meet at the semi-final stage of the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, where Black Stars lose with just a single goal on home soil in Accra.
Ghana is yet to find a win against strong Cameroon in all AFCON games, with Cameroon winning it on one occasion, while two games ends in a draw.
