Samuel Osei Kuffour, the Ex-Ghana defender says that injury of Asamoah Gyan has lowered the hope of the team to win the title of the AFCON 2017 champions.
The Black Stars iconic skipper got injured in the match against Egypt which was played on Wednesday and is racing to be fit for the upcoming matches. However, the inspirational captain has got a groin injury and this can side-line him from the quarterfinal stage.
Under such circumstance, Samuel has expressed his concern by saying, ”My worry is that how long will Asamoah Gyan take to recover and play the other game?’’
He further added, ‘’He is our talisman, leader and our striker so we need him badly in this team. When Jordan plays around him, he always plays better because he makes the run and scores the goals. The team will miss him and I will look at what the coach will bring out against DR Congo.”
