They believe President would live up to the expectations and fulfill his promises, especially to lessen the Value Added Tax (VAT) percentage to make prices of merchandise and services reasonable for all and improve business operations.
The Chairman of the volunteer group, Mr Siaw-Ampadu has expressed that the high rate of the VAT forced on organizations, for example, second-hand spare parts had slowed down the development and improvement in businesses.
Speaking in an interview on the radio channel, he stated spare parts dealers and other traders have been complaining about the terrible economic conditions prevailing in the country and about adverse business growth.
However, other group members expressed about the high cost of accessing credit, decrease in the rate of the cedi, reduction of taxes had increased their operation cost and lessened overall revenues. They also cited some examples of the collapsed businesses because of the unfriendly business environment.
The group also congratulated the party and President Nana Akufo-Addo on the astounding victory in the 2016 general polls.
