The Ex-Attorney General of Ghana, Martin A.B.K. Amidu has recently made an announcement in which he has asked the President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo a few very important things.

Former Attorney General, Martin Amidu
The most significant of them all was to not spare the corrupt officials who worked under the past Mahama governance. He said he has recently come to know that some powerful personalities and officials of Ghana are attempting to intrude President Nana Akufo-Addo about taking any step against the corrupt past officials.
Mr. Amidu, who is a top personality of the National Democratic Congress and famous for his massive anti-corruption efforts said, our new President’s efforts to eradicate corruption would be nothing if he takes the way of compromise rather than honesty and responsibility.
Moreover, Amidu said, ‘I guarantee each single person of Ghana that the evidence against those corrupt officials are quite obvious and overpowering, however, unlawful decisions are being taken through powerful Ghanaian officials and older folks to forget about the past as opposed to the requests of the Constitution for responsibility, straightforwardness, and reasonableness in administration’.
Not only this, he also blamed the sixth Parliament for the fourth Republic of helping the former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama to plunder the nation and trusted that the current seventh Parliament won’t attempt to bargain the President’s unlimited efforts to eradicate the corruption and make Ghana ‘the anti-corruption nation’ just for the sake of compromise.
He gave a powerful statement which says, ‘The President’s anti-corruption efforts would stay composed conceived with such bargains and compromises’.
