Defending champions Ivory Coast have been given further financial support for the Africa Cup of Nations 2017 finals.
The Ivorian government has agreed a near €6 million euros (£5.1m) budget for the team’s promotion in Gabon.
It is an rise of €600,000 euros (£507,000) from the last finals in Equatorial Guinea 2 years ago.
Ivory Coast kick off their tournament against Togo on January 16, before facing DR Congo and Morocco in the group phase.
The 2-time champions opened a training camp in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on Monday where they will face Sweden in a friendly on January 8 and will whole their warm-up with a game against Uganda, another Afcon-bound side, 3 days later.
The Association of African Football has exposed the winners of this year’s Nations Cup will collect $4m (£3.26m) in prize money, which is a 64% rise from a previous $1.5m (£1.2m).
Kicking off on January 14, the competition ends with the final on February 5.
