
Professor Kwesi Botchway will chair the committee
The outgoing National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration has established a 13 members committee to find out the causes of their defeat in December 7, presidential elections.
Professor Kwesi Botchway, former Minister of Finance and Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission will be the chairperson of the committee. The committee will not only investigate the causes of NDC failure but also recommend remedies.
Background
Earlier, NPP flag-bearer Nana Akufo-Addo beat President John Mahama by achieving 53.85 percent of valid votes cast. While President John Mahama, flag-bearer and presidential candidate of governing NDC got 44.40 percent of valid votes cast.
The party will address with a news conference on Thursday to inaugurate the committee in Accra.
