After the end of credible 2016 presidential elections, some religious leaders have called on the detractors of the Electoral Commission Boss, Mrs Charlotte Osei to come out publicly and apologize to her for their attacks and speculations.
EC Boss, Mrs Charlotte Osei
When President John Dramani Mahama appointed Mrs Charlotte Osei as the Chairperson of the EC, many people criticized his decision and accused Mrs Osei of not announcing the election results fairly.
Many were in a view that she is not competent enough for this seat and would not b able to perform her tasks as an EC head.
A major person who attacked her personality is the NPP’s Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong who said she is characterless and can’t take the responsibility.
However, the views of certain Ghanaians have changed after the fair and credible elections and many people praised her for delivering credible and peaceful elections.
She proved her detractors wrong. So with this reference, religious leaders have challenged her critics to come up and render an unqualified apology for their allegations against her personality.
Among them is the leader and organizer of Christian Action Faith Ministries, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams who has reprimanded attackers of Madam Osei and said it was important to apologize because she has played her role very well and proved her attackers wrong as opposed to claims by her ill-wishers and enemies before the elections.
