The founding member of the outgoing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Portuphy has called on party supporters to stop attacking and criticizing each other after the party’s humiliating defeat in the just ended elections.

He sent a strong warning to party supporters who are verbally attacking ministries and accusing officials of party’s defeat after Electoral Commission announced final results on 9 December 2016.
According to him, such actions and attacks are against the norms of the party.
He said to supporters that as a part of the disciplined and well-organized party you are not allowed to do such acts that are against the rules and regulations of the party.
He told party supporters that the transition of power will take place in few days and if you will not stop from these violent activities than probably court will take serious action against law breakers.
The party chairman appealed them to not ruin the peace of the country as peace maintenance is important nowadays.
NDC Chairman made these comments at a press conference during his address to media at party’s headquarter Accra, on Thursday. He said, ‘I am warning you all to not go to radio stations and attack each other.’
